I was married to Barry Balamuth (class of '63) for 52 years. He died in 2019. We have two daughters, 55 and 36. Older is an Attorney, specializing in Estate Planning. Younger is a Wildlife Biologist, now working for a wildfire defense company. We have three grandchildren, Grady, 25, Piper, 22 and Truitt 20. Received a BA in Design from UC Berkeley '68. Art teacher, Graphic Designer, Jazzercise Instructor, owned and operated Artability for 12 years (Art Supply Store), perennial student, Artist. Website: www.kathbalamuth.com

I work out five days a week at Curves.I do not participate in any sports, but am a fanatical football fan - high school, college, and the NFL. I love to read and spend time in Arkansas and Texas visiting my children and grandchildren.

Textile crafts like sewing, knitting and crocheting, beadwork and jewelry making.I love our local regional history and architectural heritage.

Those really cool oh-so-flattering green tank suits we wore for swimming.
The guys who used to sing R&B songs at the base of the stairwell in the G Building. They sounded so great!
El Gran Eschrumpio dropping his briefcase on his desk to get our attention in Spanish class. The noise was impressive.
Walking through the narrow, crowded corridor from the G Building to the C Building between classes. There were so many faces to see.

I went to school, graduated, then went to more school, then married, then had a daughter, then divorced, then raised my daughter and went to more school, then became a law librarian. Later I remarried and now I am enjoying my two grandchildren.

Graduated from San Jose State, married and had a son and a daughter, divorced and married again, still married to #2, had daughter, have 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren traveled to Europe, Hawaii, Canada, and around US. Worked for Alameda County, and presently for large cattle operation and many in between. Worked as social worker and bookkeeper. Started my own company with my 2nd husband and built a house in the country.
