Spring '64 The "Slope" area was a great place to be after school. My social club, The Bithynains, was great fun. All of my best friends were in the club and we had the very best of times. Mr. Elhers and Mrs. White were my favorite teachers. I will always remember Ms. Thompson's class where I learned to type.....great life tool!!!I loved the basketball games and the annual TOC! The Pep Club was great also when we all wore the school colors of red and gold....Go Jackets!!!! My years at Berkeley High were some of the very best years of my life. I loved high school, Richmond During the past 50 years I married my high school sweetheart, Rufus Chambers, we had two children.....one is an Engineer and one is a financial analyst. I retire ten years ago from Vallejo Unified as a principal after teaching some years. I have lived in Richmond for the past 43 years. I have travelled to several European countries, Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, Alaska. I am still friends with four graduates of 1964. I work part time for UC Berkeley in Graduate School of Education. Travel, reading, R&B, jazz, gospel music, movies, plays and spending time with my grandchildren are things I like to do. lchambers46@sbcglobal.net

Spring '64 I think probably being on the swim team. I only wish I took it a little more serious. I was only there my senior year and I was at Garfield for only the 7th. grade. I was living down near Union city between the 8th. grade and the end of my Junior year. However I got to know a hand full of people. That's why I shied away from reunions in the past. Bit this is the 50th. The big one, the real deal, the real mccoy and plus it will be a chance to share old memories. Berkeley Ca A few years of college. A machinest, a contractor. I was stationed in San Diego in the service. Two wespac cruises. Other than Berkeley a small time in Oakland, S.F. Albany and Sam Pablo. I "ve covered every state, if not to visit at least I passed through it. I've been to Canada, Alaska, northern Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, the British Isles, parts of eastern Europe (Netherlands, Belgaim, Germany and France. However I have a yen for other places which I certainly hope to see! Crossword puzzles, swimming and taking walks
